Hi Travis,

I usually go by my name 'Dora'. Rebelo is my last name. I've been using Dora for years every time I blog but at IL there was a misunderstanding a while ago when my husband asked them to un-register 'us' because he was frustrated and wanted to stop paying for his membership and leave the site (as he was addicted to being there, like most of us do at some point when we engage too much).

It was not my wish at the time to cancel the account but he asked IL to cancel 'both' registrations and they did it. Rebelo is my last name.

Anyway, it was never my idea to come up with different names to confuse people. That is what I find is really harmful about anonymity, it is when it is used to deceive people...one single person speaking as if it were many.

Have a great day.

Thanks for the very kind words, Dora. I am happy that you are enjoying the site.

Full public exposure with the ability for anonymous responses can make for some nasty interactions. Part of the territory, unfortunately. Still, it does keep things interesting.

I agree with you about teachers (especially the pets part.) Everything and everyone is, in fact our teacher. We just learn more slowly when we don't realize that.

Cheers!

Hi Travis,

I read your blogs at IL. I wanted to reply to you but I am no longer a member...my membership has been quietly deactivated (I was going by the name of 'avoid'). Anyway, it does not matter as I said what I wanted to say. There is such a nasty feel to blogging that I find relieving every time I stop.

Just a quick comment on your blog about enlightenment (I agree, this expression is loaded with assumptions of the most arrogant type.) I think you are right on. I mean, right on.

Just like you said about the sages and mystics, the way 'you' think and contemplate about life makes total sense.

:)

Cheers!
Dora

ps. Also loved the blog about the types of teachers even though officially, I have never had one. I consider that all the people (and pets) that I have come across, even online, have been teachers to me. Anyway, your blog is very insightful.
